The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Matamoras is currently in a drought watch.  During a drought watch, we should all be seeking to reduce our water use by about 5 percent through voluntary conservation measures.  See the Water Department page for further information.


The Borough Office will be closed and no Borough services will be offered on Friday, 3 Apr 15

Matamoras Borough Hall

Matamoras was originally part of Westfall Township. Its name came from the Mexican town of Matamoros, which was the first to be occupied by U.S. troops during the Mexican-American War. It was incorporated as a borough on January 18, 1905.

Meetings are held at Borough Hall located at 10 Ave I
Council Meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.
Planning Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
Recreation Meetings are held the 1st Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m and the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Matamoras meetings are held the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m except for January and July. The January and July meetings will be held on the 2nd Wednesday at 7:00pm.
Keystone Club meets the 3rd Wednesday at 7:00p.m.
