Firefly Field is the tri-state region’s crown jewel playground! At 1.2 acres, and with more than 30 pieces of fully handicapped accessible playground equipment, Firefly is a clean, safe and welcoming play space for our children, 12 and under.
Firefly Field is open from early spring until late fall, daily from 9:00 a.m. until sunset.
Recognizing every child’s need, especially children with disabilities, the opportunity to have access to an outdoor playground, local residents, Joe and Ronnie Biondo, created Firefly Field. By Joe and Ronnie’s efforts, the Ingeborg Biondo Memorial Trust Foundation funded the construction of this special play place for children. The trust continues to support operation of Firefly Field on an annual basis.
